STG 2020 Know Your Worth!

Come and join us as we celebrate 15 years of educating youth and young adults about financial literacy. This year our focus is knowing your worth! We will talk about entrepreneurship and action steps you can take to start your business and grow your brand. We will also hear from Charles McGregor, Founder of Tribe Games who will share about his successful gaming business. Students will also learn about scholarship opportunities and a new Racial Justice Leadership Institute that will start during the fall 2020. Participants will also engage in a capstone action planning project that will be led by local legislatures to address racial justice issues related to homeownership and economic development in the African American community.

2019 STAR Scholar Ne’Asha Griffin

STG would like to congratulate Ms. Ne’Asha Griffin on being our 2019 scholarship winner.  This scholarship focusses on Guns Down Books Up! In a time when so many African American youth are loosing their lives to gun violence.  STG is proud to support academic scholars who turn their life experiences into areas to make change happen in their community.

Ms. Ne’Asha Griffin is the granddaughter of Ms. Birdell Beeks who this scholarship is named after.  Ne’Asha has made a decision to turn the tragedy  of loosing her grandmother into a passion for helping other children as a mental health professional. She is currently a sophomore majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business at Bethune Cookman University.  Ne’Asha we are so proud of you and we look forward to seeing you shine.  Congratulations!
